Another way to get up and go is by getting lash extensions! A handmade fan of individual lashes are placed on each lash to create voluminous and long lashes! Typically clients would come in every 2 weeks to get them filled to keep it looking its fullest.
How long do they last?
The longevity of your extensions will vary based upon your natural lash growth cycle and how well you maintain them in between fills. Fills are recommended every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness. It is normal to lose 5-7 natural lashes per day, thats 70-90 lashes per 2 weeks! As you lost your natural lashes, a new lash will grow out in place. You are required to return with at least 40% of your eyelash extensions intact to be considered a regular fill.
Can I wear makeup with the extensions?
Avoid liquid and gel liners, the glycols, and silicone in these products will break down the adhesive. Mascara MUST NOT be worn with them as this will break down the adhesive and clump up the extensions and cause your extensions to prematurely fall off. It is recommended to use an oil free, water based cleanser recommended by the lash technician as this will increase the longevity of the lash adhesive. Remember to always cleanse all makeup every night before going to sleep. Sleeping with your makeup will clog the hair follicles which can lead to irritation, dry eyes and lash mites.
What should I avoid?
Avoid any oil based cleansers and products around the eye area. We recommend to use our gentle cleanser with a fluffy brush to clean your lashes nightly. Avoid letting the shower water hit directly onto your lashes. Rubbing, touching or sleeping on your extensions will cause your extensions to fall off faster. Be gentle with your extensions as they are an extension of your natural lash. Avoid gel liners in pots and pencil liners, we recommend to use a felt tip liner or use a powder with a wet brush to create a liquid liner look.
